Its Me Again! Deborah Marie - Peaching Around
I talk about my brain injury quite a bit, but I rarely speak about the migraines that actually lead to my TBI. (You can read more about how that happened here.) But the short version of the story is that, as an adult, I began suffering from Hemiplegic Migraines- a rare type of migraine that causes facial paralysis among other symptoms. The prolonged misdiagnoses of these Migraines led to vision problems before my brain injury even occurred. My photo can be found in the video below, which is from 2013. You may not recognize me, but I'm the only person pictured wearing blue glasses. Though I no longer need to wear them daily, I still need them on Migraine days and other occasions. While the video is older, it is very much still relevant today, so I recommend watching. We all know people who suffer from Migraines! Deborah Marie is available for additional media opportunities, including podcasts, written articles, speaking engagements, and video testimonials.
