Brain Awareness Week is in March, actually at my birthday week. I usually try to do something with dana.org. The last year I have had too many sickness (no COVID) to deal with everything. 

My hemiplegic migraines are acting up again. They were a couple of times a week for awhile. Now I get them again at least 2 times a week.  I have facial trigeminal nerve issues so with the brain injury. What a non Easy Peasy life.  I would love for someone to interview me so they can see how I manage my life around all of this.  How with all of this brain pain I do joy to others, enjoy life of what I can and How I love to work with my art ideas.

Maybe I should have someone do a film about that besides my foundation to get to know me better so you will donate to Gemassist Brain Awareness Foundation. 

I just love nature.  I can not get  out there by myself anymore but I wait till someone invites me or I ask them.

I really do not like asking but you know; Life is what it is.  You learn to ask alot when you have a brain injury. Not baby asking but really pertinent asking for things that you are not capable of doing any more or things you do not understand.  

I talk a lot about brain injury but it is my life. My foundation is my life. My art is my life.

I read about brain injury people that really have a difficult time with their changes.  Well, in my early days it was so much worst then now..
I have come across forum and writers that explain it better than me but that is OK!

​We started Gemassist Brain Awareness as an LLC in the beginning. My husband wanted me to be able to do something.

My engineering was tragedy gone - Left Brain Damage. My doctor saw that I made a necklace with one bead. (Right brain)  I started making jewelry and Dr Kaelin explained to me what was happening in my brain.  Neuroplasticity, he and his staff gave me encouragement. After 850 individual pieces of jewelry with my own logo sold or given away, we converted to a Foundation in 2017.

It has been tough; I have reached out to organizations to help in GA due to I can not manage organizational skills anymore. I have reached out to people I know or wish I knew. Nothing has happened.

I cry some days still wanting my old life back; it can not happen so my gift has been art to save my life. It gives me hope for a new idea and day.  It is not easy being a burden to others when you have been so strong in a career that you thoroughly enjoyed. It is not easy to know that many people caused this accident besides the doctor.
