It is just a normal day at Frazier Rehabilitation Institute for Brain and Spinal
It was not a normal day for me.
The right side of my head and brain was hurting so bad that my face was off balance.
My doctor was shocked. Dr. Darryl L Kaelin and his staff felt my pain. They also knew I am a fighter to do the best I can on those days.
They put me in a room for a while as I turned the light out. It hurt my right eye too much. I knew I had to wait my turn and that they needed to review my medication. I knew this was a big jump back from previous visits, but again, I found that neurologist in my own hometown, Atlanta did not know "how to treat my complex neuro issues."
Well, time to go down my list of questions and to be checked numerology. Now, the treatment
I had so any shots on the side of my head, face, and neck that you would think someone opened a wasp nest next to my head. I think I screamed once or twice but they or I did not care. It was for a good purpose and to help me.
I went back to the best hotel in Louisville, Ky - Embassy Suites Downtown on 4th St. where they are so helpful and kind to me. Brandon's Catch23 had food delivered up to my room. They are surprised that I could not come out this day. I usually visit that restaurant sometime during my visit.
I got ice from the ice machine and placed on the side of my head... Boy, it helped the swelling of the treatment but it felt again like wasps had just hit the side of my head. I never never thought I would live thru this but I always pray to Jesus and my Lord to help me one more time thru something that has happened to me. This time it was to help me.
My doctor told me not to leave town till I felt better and yes, I had to extend my stay at the Embassy Suites downtown. I could not go home. My husband thought he was going to have to fly from work and get me but by Friday morning and treatment on Tuesday. I could tolerate the pain to get home.
It was nice to be home that night but the pain has really not stopped till yesterday 11/10/2016
It is hard to write about these things, but I have a cause
A cause to help others! A cause to help others to get long term rehabilitation for their brain and spinal injury!
Therefore, please buy my pin or charm for brain awareness
With love and gratitude
