EEG - It has changed - Thank you!

A brain injury is a life long process and I have learned over the years that it does not stop. Their are other types of brains that have life long occurrences but I believe some do get help with new drugs and schools and other training programs.  Mainly if you can afford them; not everyone can as you know.

​Well, I was surprised today; I have had a seizure or some kind of event a month ago and have had a few small ones since but I have learned something today that gave me hope.

I had an EEG and I had them many years ago when all this starting happening. I think in a 6 mos. period I had 4 EEGs. It was horrible; I kept telling the doctor that my right eye was beginning to hurt real bad.  No one was listening. I would call my brother for comfort but he had no clue what to do as I. He did listen and that helped.  I had no idea why as I have this test I keep getting sick every time I came out. The EEG flashing light in my right eye was beginning to hurt the eye as I laid there and my body would move and thrust all over the sheets plus my talking was beginning to hurt or lost of words. 

Today, I had an EEG and will be having a home EEG.  No more lights flashing that is old school now.  Technology has changed and the electrical wave lengths just flowed. As the electrical wave that is what i will call it went through my brain. I could feel each neurological stimulation.

I could tell when my feet nerve's were hit. My eyes rolled back several times when something stimulated that area of the brain. I could feel the nerves from the back of my neck and the pain was stimulated to indicate - yes something is happening there.  I have a neck problem; I guess it has come to haunt me. I could tell my fingers were moving but my right hand was not as much but the nerve sensation was like a wave as it move across my brain.

Oh, yes the trigeminal nerve; I thought it was back but as it passed over it; i felt nothing and I was happy about that nothing.  That was a life changing Gamma Knife surgery last year.  As it move across a spot on the top of my head I got very nausea and thought I was going to throw-up. 

The wave hit a spot where I could feel the new diabetic meter in my arm; it tingled. Lastly, where there was a bleed out from surgery last year and the nurse and the doctors said no problem it is the outer skull area; it hurt like bam someone hit me on the head in that spot therefore those nerves in that area must be sensitive.

As I got up after this 30mins that felt like a hour; I will tell you that it was the most fascinating event.

Why?  I understand how electrodes can relax your pain and nerves in the brain if you need it. It was a very calming wave at one point where I felt good and no pain anywhere.  So somewhere in this large muscle or blob or grey matter there is an electrical pulse that calms your pain and body nerves and gives you endorphins or it sure did feel like pleasure at that moment and time and location.

I will get the results and more test tomorrow! Now, thank you technology and I know that pills now can be replaced but I guess the doctor needs to know exactly how to do it to help you with shaky nerves, migraines, pain in body without a drug.  Yes, I believe the future is coming for this alternative treatment.

Maybe I dreamed it, but it was wonderful feeling to feel all your body electrical neurons flowing.
