FOUNDATIONS ARE NOT EASY!

Well, Gemassist Brain Awareness Foundation is not easy.

I was on a plane to go to Frazier Rehabilitation Institute in Louisville, KY. That is my brain injury rehabilitation facility with Dr. Darryl L. Kaelin.

I was talking to a gentlemen about various things. I do not get on a plane by myself so my husband was in another area. Anyway, I have his business card and I can tell you who he is but I think that would be inappropriate without asking.

As time when on during a very long silence, I asked what kind of a business he was in! Yah!
He was very proud and told me he has a private business selling health insurance for people's pets.
He has several offices one in Atlanta and Louisville and he showed me the facility as we flew by in Louisville, KY

I said to him "I bet it is easier to get people to buy pet insurance than to buy to help brain injury patience."  He smiled - You know you are right; no one wants to think about brain injury or stokes. They do love their pets!

It saddens me that this is the reality for brain injury or stroke patients.
